About Kate
With a strong foundation in creativity and an unstoppable entrepreneurial spirit, kate spent many years as a professional photographer capturing images from across the country. In her “Second chapter” she followed her lifelong dream of exploring different mediums to express her deep creativity.
HGTV STARS OF THE HIT SERIES BARGAIN BLOCK, KEITH BYNUM AND EVAN THOMAS RECENTLY AWARDED KATE’S WORK A SECOND PLACE ARTIST AWARD IN THEIR BEST OF SHOW CATEGORY FOR THEIR NINE DESIGN HOME AND ART EXHIBIT.
In her paintings and clay works Kate conveys her love of outdoor adventures high in the mountains and an unbounded curiosity for ancient art practices. Her clay creations suggest the fluid lines of Mid-Century modern, paired with the untamed elements of nature.
When she is not hand-building with clay or painting, you can find kate with her high school sweetheart, knee-deep in the nearest river spending long hours fly fishing and bird watching. she finds the quiet and repetitive nature of fly fishing brings her closer to her muse and helps to calm her soul.
